Tournament Day Guest Speaker

Svitlana Demchenko

At our Half-Day Tournament on Friday, March 17th, we are delighted to be hosting Woman International Master, Svitlana Demchenko.

Svitlana is Ukrainian/Canadian and earned her Woman FIDE Master title back in 2016 as well as her Woman International Master title in 2019. Svitlana is the epitome of what it means to be both confident and fierce, filling her time by filming and releasing highly popular instructional chess videos and by studying BioMedical Science at the University of Ottawa.

We are excited to have her at our tournament where she will be giving a talk and inspiring your girls with the sum of her knowledge and experiences as a Woman in Chess and a Woman in STEM.
