Chess for Beginners

Ages 5-13

If your child has never played chess or has been introduced to the game and is not certain how each piece moves, Chess for Beginners is the perfect place to start. In our 6 class introduction session, we will teach your child about the chessboard, how to identify the squares through the files and ranks, the pieces and their values and how each piece moves. This class prepares the student for Course 1, where your child will play online with other children.

Course Prerequisites: No experience necessary.

Course Duration: 6 online classes (1 hour each) via Zoom
